Elk City Newspaper 23 July 1925 The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Nesser in and around Elk City were grieved to learn of Little Ray- mond's death which came at 12:20 p. m. last Wednesday, altho they were in a measure prepared for the sad tid- ings because of his long illness, which all knew had been very critical, he was very bad right from the time he took sick and all that the devoted family, Dr.s and friends could do was done hoping to the end that the little fellow might have strength to over- come the dreadful disease but the in- tense heat and his weakened condi- tion seemed more than he could bear. Raymond was such a sweet lovable child and was always ready to give a little recitation for all the program in the community. How well we all remember the last time he recited at the Easter Program at Grandview in- titled "How Can Mother Tell". Las year was his first year in school and how his little school mates will miss him.
