Pierce was born December 31, 1908 in Loveland, Tillman County, Oklahoma to Lucinda Isabella and John E. Pierce and passed away November 21, 1997 in the Great Plains Regional Medical Center at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 20 days. Lester moved with his parents by covered wagon to the Walters, OK area and later they moved to Kelton, TX in the 1920's. He married Flora Stephenson on August 15, 1931 in Sayre, OK. They lived in Wheeler and Allsion, TX and Durham, OK before moving west of Cheyenne in 1941. Lester married Cleo Green on July 7, 1956 in Cheyenne where they remained to make their home. Lester loved life and enjoyed fishing as well as attending his grandchildren's activities. He wa a memeber of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Cleo, of the home; 1 daughter, Janet Blaylock of arnett, OK; 4 sons, Wayne Pierce of Shamrock, TX, Tom Green and Dale Pierce, both of Cheyenne, OK; Wesley Pierce of Berlin, OK; 2 sisters, Mae Coombs of Erick, OK and Lorene Rector of Mobeetie, TX; 3 brothers, Luther Pierce of Reydon, OK, Carl Pierce of Cheyenne, OK and Connie Pierce of Sayre, OK; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Interment in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
