Funeral Services for Henry W. Rogers, pioneer Erick and Beckham County resident who died early Saturday following a long illness, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Erick with Rev. D.D. Barber, pastor, officiating. Mr. Rogers, 76 years of age, died at the Sayre hosspital. He had been ill about three months. He was born January 6, 1861 in Arkansas and had his home in western Beckham county for the past 10 years. He owned a large ranch one and one-half miles southwest of Erick. Survivors include seven children by his [late] first wife Hester: They are Mrs. Bud Lewis of Sayre; Mrs. D.V. Callahan, Ardmore; Mrs. Alva Doughty, Martha; Dr. Lova Lovejoy, Corpus Christi, Tx.; Mrs. Alva Robinson, Dalhart, Tx.; Mrs. H.B. Hackett, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Virgil Hardin, Shawnee. He is also survived by his wife Thelma and their two children, Billy Wilson Rogers and Betty Jo Rogers.
