  Relatives and friends were
saddened Thursday by the death
of J. R. Rogers, who died at
the community hospital at Elk
City at 5:30 p. m.  Mr. Rogers
was wll known in Erick and 
vicinity.  He was the father of
Homer Rogers and Mrs. Luther
Barton of this community.  He
had made his home since Decem-
ber 1, with his daughter Mrs. 
Sherman Hauck and family of
Eastview.  The community joins
your reporter in extending our
sincerest sympathy to the be-
reaved relatives.
