ATWOOD, JAMES
(24 Sep 1925, Sayre Journal, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
James Atwood was born near Sonora, Ky., Feb. 9th 1843.  Died at his home
near Dempsey, September 18, 1925, at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 9
days old.
He served in the Union Army 3 years, was a member of Co. B, 2nd Ky Cavalry
under Captain Kilpatrick.  Was married to Miss Martha Winstade, Jan. 1st
1868, who preceded him to the great beyond, Feb. 22nd 1905.  To this union
was born seven children all of whom are living except one son Oswald.
