(30 Jan 1907, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Suicide at Foss.  A. Barcus, a resident of Foss, killed himself by
shooting himself with a shot gun, last Friday morning.  That the act was
deliberate suicide was shown by a note he placed in the room where he
fired the fatal shot.
He leaves an aged mother, brother, wife and five children.  Despondancy
(sic) seems to have been the cause of the suicide.  He had spent about a
thousand dollars traveling lately.  - Elk City Record.
