BARKER, MARY AGNES
(31 May 1928, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
MRS. MARY AGNES BARKER.  Mrs. Mary Agnes Barker, age 19 years, eleven
months and seven days, was born at Rankin, Texas, in 1908, and moved with
her parents to Higgins, Texas, where they resided for a period of seven
years, moving from Higgins to Sayre in 1923.
June 27th, 1926, she married Roy Barker of this city and they moved to
McLean, Texas, at which place they resided until this date.  She was
visiting here with her sister Mrs. Bill Ford, when taken ill and was
seriously sick for two weeks prior to her death May 24th.
For a year previous to her marriage she was employed at the local
telephone exchange and one of their valuable employees.  She had a
charming personality, and was loved by those who best knew her.  She was a
member of the Christian church and an appreciated worker.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Church at 5 o'clock Friday
afternoon, with Rev. T. N. Weeks officiating.  Interment was made in the
Sayre-Doxey cemetery.

beautiful floral offerings given during the illness and death of our wife
and daughter, Mrs. Roy Barker.  And especially do we appreciate the kind
thoughtfulness of the girls of the Sayre telephone exchange.
