All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ BARNES, LOUIS (6 Jan 1921, Thursday, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): We are indeed sad to report the death of little Louis Barnes, son of Prof. and Mrs. J. G. Barnes, which occured (sic) on last Thursday morning. Funeral services were conducted at the church by Rev. J. L. Davis. He was a member of the Sunday school and his chair was appropriately draped at the school on last Sunday. Some tender and loving remarks were made by his teacher, Miss Edith Williams. LOUIS BARNES. Louis Barnes, little five year old son of Prof. and Mrs. J. B. Barnes died early Thursday morning of last week after suffering a relapse from an acute case of Brights disease. Funeral services were conducted at the church by Rev. J. L. Davis and interment was made in the Doxey-Sayre cemetery. Louis was a very faithful member of Miss Edith Williams' class of the Methodist Sunday School and at the Sunday morning service the vacant chair was draped in white in memory of the deceased one. (6 Jan 1921, The Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Lewis Briles Barnes, little five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Barnes, died on Wednesday night last from complications of diseases. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon from the Methodist church, Rev. J. L. Davis officiating. Interment was at the Doxey-Sayre cemetery. Mr. Barnes is one of the new teachors (sic) in the city schools and while they are comparative strangers here, still the sympathy of all Sayre goes to the parents in their bereavement.
