Obituary:  The Sayre Sun, Sayre, Beckham Co, Ok, 14 Aug 1947:
BENNETT, LOYEBELLE (BARNES)
Funeral services for Mrs. Loie Belle Bennett, of Erick, who died at Sayre
on Saturday following a critical illness of six months, were held Monday
afternoon at the First Baptist church with Rev. W. T. Cost and Rev. Tommie
Carmichael officiating.
Mrs. Bennett was born December 22, 1906, near Erick.  She was married to
Otto Bennett, February 22, 1925 at Sayre.  She had been a member of the
Baptist church since fourteen years of age.  She was formerly employed at
the Brickell Ice Company and had been a resident of Sayre and vicinity all
her life.
She was preceded in death by an infant son.
Survivors are her husband, Otto Bennett, of the home address; her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Barnes of Sayre; one brother, Clyde of Sayre; six
sisters, Mrs. Jewel Bennett and Mrs. Mary Quillin, Sand Diego, Calif.;
Mrs. Grace Gibson, Erick; Mrs. Johnnie Shields, Hobart; Mrs. Florine Boyd,
Wheeler, Texas.
Committal was in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery with arrangements in charge of
Scroggins Funeral home.
