(24 May 1928, The Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
R. P. Bonifield, age 65 years, three months and three days, died May 4th,
1928, at Carter.  Born Feb. 1st 1863 in Macom county, Missouri, and moved
to Oklahoma in 1913.
He was converted and joined the Baptist church.  In 1883 was married in
San Antonio, Texas, to this union one son, J. H. Bonifield was born.  In
1889 he married Miss Millie Thompson and to this union one boy and three
girls were born.  The son, John Bonifield, residing in Sayre, the two
daughters, Mrs. Bertha Brewson of Chico, Texas, and Mrs. J. P. Doyle of
Lindsey, Okla.  One daughter, Sarah, died at two years of age.
He is survived by his wife, three children, and one brother, S. T.
Bonifield and one sister, Mrs. Annie Langley, both of Delhi.
The body was shipped to Bridgeport, Texas for burial.
