All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ BOSWOOD, ROBERT K. (20 May 1926, The Sayre Journal, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): R. K. Boswood, aged 71, died at three o'clock Monday morning May 17 in an Elk City Hospital, after an illness of a few weeks. His remains were brought to Sayre and interment made in the Doxey-Sayre cemetery. The funeral services were held by Rev. W. S. Deatherage at the Christian church at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Boswood was one of the first settlers and one of the oldest inhabitants of the county. Robert K. Boswood was born in Brooklyn, New York, Feb. 1, 1885 (note: should be 1855). He was married to Miss Nancy Slater August 29, 1875, and there was born to this union 4 children of which three are living; James, Ruth and W. K. Warren died three years ago. Mr. Boswood had lived in Beckham County for 26 years. He became a member of the Chirstian church when a young man at LaGrange, Missouri. He was a plasterer by trade.
