BRODDRICK, ANNA CARROLL
(The Sayre Sun, Sayre, Beckham, Ok, Thurs 26 Feb 1959)
Rites for Mrs. Brodderick (sic) Held Monday.
Funeral services for Anna Carroll Broderick, formerly of Carter; who died
Friday (headstone has death Monday 23 Feb) in Wichita, Kansas, following a
lengthy illness, were held Monday at 2:00 pm in the Carter Baptist church
with Rev Clyde Hamar and Rev Charles Reed officiating.
Born April 9, 1897 in Decatur, Texas, she came with her parents to western
Oklahoma in 1914 and settled in the Carter community where she resided
until 1945 moving to Wichita, Kansas, where she made her home.
A member of the First Free Will Baptist church, she was preceded in death
by her father, one son and one sister.
Survivors include her husband of the home address; one daughter, Mrs.
Alvie Jones, Wichita, Kansas; two granddaughters; her mother, Mrs R. S.
Ford, Carter; four sisters, Mr. W. H. Breeze, Carter; Mrs Vester Chambers,
Spearman, Texas; Mrs. Dewey Dickerson, Sayre; Mrs. Roy L. Roles, Wichita,
Kansas; four brothers, Wesley Ford of Wichita, Kansas; Tommie Ford, Sayre,
Aubrey Ford, Spearman, Texas; Walter Ford, Wichita, Kansas.
Interment was in the Carter cemetery with Moore Funeral home in charge of
arrangements.
