BRODDRICK, JAMES LEMUEL "BOOTS"
(Sayre Sun, Sayre, Beckham, Ok, 14 Feb 1963)
J. Broddrick Rites Held at Carter.
Funeral services were held for James Lemuel (Boots) Broddrick, Wichita,
Kansas, Sunday, February 10, at 1 pm at the Church of Christ in Carter.
James Lemuel Broddrick was born December 16, 1898, in Roger Mills county,
Oklahoma and came to the Carter community in 1902 from Wise county, Texas,
and lived in Carter until 19 years ago when he and his family moved to
Wichita, Kansas.  He died in a Sayre hospital February 8.  He had been
visiting in Carter with his sister.
He was married to Ressie Anna Ford, December 25, 1921, near Carter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, his parents and two sisters.
Survivors are his daughter Wanda Jean Jones, Wichita, Kansas; one sister,
Mrs. Laura Widle, Carter, and two granddaughters.
Pall bearers were Paul East, Jimmie Taylor, Bernard Thompson, Frank
Crawford, Ellis Breeze and Bill Renfro.
Interment was in the Carter cemetery with the Rose Chapel Funeral Service
in charge.
