BRODRICK, FRED EARLEN
(Sayre Journal, Sayre, Beckham, Ok, Wed, 23 Jan 1974)
Fred Brodrick Services Set Thursday at Carter. Funeral services for Fred
Earlen Brodrick of Carter, age 80, will be held Thursday in the Carter
Assembly of God Church at 2 pm with Rev Oliver Thompson and Rev Billy
Walker officiating.
Mr Brodrick died Tuesday in the Sayre Hospital.
He was born April 3, 1893 in Wise County, Texas.  In 1898 he came with his
parents who filed on a farm north of Carter.  He married Vernie Ethel
Ridley at Indian Creek, Nov 24, 1912.  They farmed in the Carter community
until he retired in 1954 and moved to Carter to make their home.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 1 brother and granddaughter.
He is a member of the Carter Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are his wife of the home; 4 daughters, Mrs Felicia Johnson of
Abernathy, Tex., Allen (Alena) Broddrick of Elk City; Mrs Belva Rider of
Campo, Colo; and Mrs Ann Collins of Maryville, Mo; 3 sons, Harvey of the
home; Leon of Rocky Ford, Colo; and Troy of Weatherford; 10 grandchildren;
3 sisters, Mrs Ludie Cashion of Carter; Mrs Alice Thrower and Mrs Cleo
Collins, both of Elk City.
Burial will be in the Carter Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel
Funeral Services.

buried Carter Cemetery.
Son Harvey Brodrick, born 29 Apr 1915; died 25 Nov 1986; unmarried; buried
