Broadrick (sic) was born March 27, 1870 in Grayson county, Texas. He was married June 24, 1890 to Perilee Haney. To this union was born nine children: Claud, Fred, Luther, Bettie, Maggie, Luddie, Anna, Alice and Cleo. He moved with his family to Oklahoma in 1898 where they lived on the farm northwest of Carter until six years ago when they moved to Carter. He was converted in 1907 at Indian Creek in the Methodist faith and remained steadfast to the end. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, two sons, Claud, living in Colorado; Fred of Carter; Luddie of Carter, Alice Thrower and Cleo both of Carter. One son and three daughters have preceded him to the better land. Twelve grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors mourn his passing. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Carter Thursday.
