BROWN, TENNESSEE WILSON
(28 Oct 1926, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
The news of the death of Mrs. T. B. Brown a pioneer resident of this city,
flashed over Sayre Sunday morning, and because any except a few of her
most intimate friends had learned of her sickness.  It seems that Mrs.
Brown had been sick for a week or ten days when the physicians decided
that it would be necessary to perform an operation if she was to be saved,
and she was taken to the hospital at Clinton on Saturday morning, and an
operation for appendicitis performed that evening.
She came through the operation in apparently a favorable condition and
rested fairly well that night, but passed away about 8 o'clock Sunday
morning.
Funeral services were held from the Baptist church yesterday afternoon,
Rev. T. N. Means, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. 
Interment was in the Doxey Sayre cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was 64 years of age, and one of the pioneer residents of this
city, coming in 1902, and with the exception of four years when Mr. Brown
taught school at Granite, had been a resident since.  Mrs. Brown was one
of the charter members of the Presbyterian church.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Brown leaves one daughter, Mrs. Otho Inman, of
this city.
The heartfelt sympathy of all Sayre, and many personal friends in the
surrounding country goes to the bereaved family in their hour of
affliction.

Mrs. T. B. Brown.  Tennessee Wilson Brown, wife of T. B. Brown, was the
daughter of A. J. and Rebeckah E. Bradford, both deceased, who migrated
from Wilson county, Tennessee to Texas County, Missouri, in an early day.
She was born in Texas County, Missouri, August 1st 1862.  Died Monday
October the 25th, at the Clinton Hospital, after undergoing an operation
for appendicitis and her body was laid to rest in the Sayre Doxey cemetery
October the 27th.
She leaves her husband, T. B. Brown, a daughter, Mrs. O. R. Inman, two
grand children, Otha Wilson and Wanda Marie Inman, two brothers, J. D.
Bradford of Kansas City, Mo., and R. L. Bradford of Cabool, Mo., and a
host of other relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
She professed a hope in Christ at the age of sixteen and lived a faithful
Christian through the remainder of her life.  She was married to T. B.
Brown August the 25th 1897.  She was a most faithful and loving companion
and mother, every (sic) ready to help the needy.  Those who knew her best
loved her most.
She with her husband and daughter migrated from Missouri to this country
in 1902 and became pioneers in the settlement of the city of Sayre.
Now that the Savior has called her home, may we all strive to so live that
we may meet her in that beautiful land is the wish of her loving husband.
