BURNETT, JULIA E.
(9 Feb 1922, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
MRS. JULIA E. BURNETT DEAD.
Passed Away at the Home of Her Daughter in This City.
Mrs. Julia E. Burnett, mother of Mrs. J. H. Carpenter, died at the home of
her daughter on Seventh street, on Saturday evening, after a two weeks'
illness, at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 20 days.
Mrs. Burnett came to Sayre from Dallas, Texas, last July with the family
of Mr. Carpenter, who is employed by the Rock Island railway, and during
her residence here had made many friends.
The funeral services were held at the Methodist church, of which she was a
member, Rev. Morris officiating and interment was in the Doxey-Sayre
cemetery.
The family has the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
