CHAMBERS, JOE
(13 Dec 1906, Thursday, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Joe Chambers Dead.
Saturday a telegram from Durant, Indian Territory, brought to Sayre the
sad news that Joe Chambers died that day.  He had gone to the home of his
brother there, after seeking health in vain in several places in Texas. 
Joe had been in Sayre about a year, and the number of his friends was
limited only by his acquaintances.  Although afflicted with a malady which
proved incurable, he was cheerful and uncomplaining to the last.
Hard it is, for one so young to die, with the best years of life just
before him, and more than one heart in Sayre has been made sad by his
death.
