CHUMNEY, WILLIAM THOMAS
(31 Mar 1911, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Dr. Speed was called to Wortham, Texas, to attend the bedside of his
brother-in-law Dr. Chumney, who is seriously ill.
As we go to press the report comes that Dr. Chumney died.
(31 Mar 1911, Friday, Texola Herald, Texola, Beckham Co, OK):
Ira Speed was called to Wortham Texas Saturday on account of the sickness
of his brother-in-law.  News was received here Thursday of the death of
Dr. Chumley (sic) at his home in Wortham, Texas.
Dr. Chumley was known to a number of our people, having visited his
brother-in-law- Ira Speed.  Mr. and Speed and his brother Dr. Speed of
Sayre were present at the time of the Doctor's death.

Ira Speed returned Thursday from Wortham, Texas, where he had spent the
week in looking after the affairs of his sister.
