During his residence in Asher, Mr. Combs has made many friends and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. Mr. Combs was prominent in early education of Oklahoma, being principal of various schools in the western part of the state. His last term was taught at Sayre, during which time he was married to Miss Edna Smith of that place. On Monday morning the remains were escorted to the depot by the lodges and shipped to El Reno for burial, being accompanied by his grief-stricken wife and relatives. Messrs. Pearson and McCully representing the I.O.O.F., Messrs.
