(31 Dec 1903, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): DIED. Albert W. Conner, at his home two miles south of Sayre, Okla., Dec. 28, 1903, at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 21 days. He leaves a wife and five children, which are A. J., Dock and H. T. Conner and Mrs. Lizzie Gatliff. He was burried (sic) in the Doxey cemetery by the Masonic Fraternity of Sayre Lodge No. 83 A.F.A.M. Tuesday. Mr. Conner has been a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1855, also a Royal Arch Mason and was a member of the Christian church since he was 16 years of age. (31 Dec 1903, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Neel went to Sayre Tuesday to attend the funeral of A. W. Conner, grandfather of Mrs. Neel, who died at his home near Sayre Monday. He was buried in the Sayre cemetery Tuesday, the Masonic lodge conducting the services. (31 Dec 1903, Thursday, Western Star, Cheyenne, Roger Mills Co, OK): Mr. Conner, father of our popular druggist and an honored Mason, died Sunday at his home in Greer county, two miles from Sayre and was buried by the Sayre Lodge A.F. & A.M. at the cemetery in Doxey on Tuesday evening. Mr. Conner had lived a long, happy and useful life and leaves a large family and a host of friends to mourn his death. (7 Jan 1904, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Grandpa Conner. A large number of good friends met at the stricken home of Dock and H. T. Conner, one mile south of Sayre, Tuesday, Dec. 22 (sic), to pay their last respects to a departed friend and brother. Grandpa Conner, the deceased, was beloved by every acquaintance. He was a man of unusually gentle nature, a loving husband, kind father and true friend, and the deepest sympathy of every acquaintance goes out in great measure to the bereaved relatives. Mr. Conner was 79 years of age and had been married nearly 60 years. He was also a Royal Arch Mason, having joined that order at Belton, Texas, in 1855, and the local lodge at Sayre had charge of the funeral. Grandpa had been a member of the Christian church for nearly 52 years and was a true Christian. He is survived by his widow, Grandma Conner, and 11 sons and daughters, of whom Mrs. M. E. Gatliff, A. J., Dock and H. T. Conner live at Sayre. Mrs. H. A. Neel, of this city, is a granddaughter and J. W.
