Interment was in the Camargo Cemetery. Bertha Jane, the daughter of Sanie J. and Mahala Mae West Colvaard, was born July 17, 1912 at Spavinaw, OK and passed away January 17, 2002, in the Elk City hospital at the age of 80 years. Bertha attended Merritt School and attended Camargo High School. She was married to Oan Fred Day on June 24, 1930 at Taloga, OK. They lived all their married life in and around Camargo, where they were busy with the Camargo Creamery station and later Oan was employed by the MK and T. Railroad. Bertha was actrive in the Camargo United Methodist Church, a member of Eastern Star and held and office for the Dewey County Election Board. When was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, brother-in-law, one son, two grandsons, one granddaughter, a nephew and daughter-in-law. She is survived by her children, Sanie R. Lee and wife, Edna of Okeene, Peggy Ray Wingo and husband, Wilfred of Woodward, Patsy Mae Hanks and husband, Claude of Arapaho. Barbara Jane Arnold and husband Dale of Woodward. Karen Sue Haney and husband, Gary of Elk City; 22 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. The Sayre Record and Beckham County Democrat 6-Feb-2002
