DEAN, JOHN M.
(10 Feb 1927, Sayre Journal, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
DEMPSEY NEWS.  Mr. John Dean died last Friday night at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Godfrey at the age of 77 years.  He was familiarly called Uncle
Johnnie and had lived here for many years.  Funeral services were held at
the Dempsey cemetery at 4 o'clock Sunday, conducted by Rev. Campbell.

Obituary.  Uncle Johnnie Dean was born at Talking Rock, Georgia, at August
8, 1849, and died February 4, 1927, at the age of 77 years, 5 months and
26 days.
He was married to Miss Harry (sic) Chadwick and to this union were born
three sons, James, William and Thomas, all of whom reside in Georgia.  He
later married Miss Caroline Bailey.  To this union were born two sons and
two daughters, Walter, Iria, Lena and Rosa, all of whom live at Cement,
Oklahoma.
The deceased was a good citizen and high respected by all who knew him.
Interment was in the Dempsey cemetery.
