 EAST, NELLIE MAY
(The Sayre Sun, Sayre, Beckham, Ok, Thurs 13 Sep 1973)
Nellie East Services set Thursday.
Mrs. Nellie May East of Carter died in the Community hospital Tuesday
(Sept 11, 1973) following a short illness.  Funeral services will be held
Thursday at 2:30 pm in the Carter First Baptist Church.  Officiating will
be Rev. Billy Walker.
Born March 30, 1899 at Decatur, Tex., and in 1905 moved to Carter
community with her parents.  She married Jim B. East at Sayre April 12,
1919, and they resided in the Carter community.  She had been a member of
the First Baptist Church a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors are 1 sister, Mrs. Ruth Shelton of Elk City; 2 brothers, Arthur
Broddrick and Robert Broddrick both of Grass Valley, California.
Interment will be in the Carter Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel.
