Funeral services were held from the farm home on Monday afternoon with Rev. E. W. Sears, of the Christian church of this city, officiating, and were attended by a large number of friends and neighbors. Interment was in the Doxey-Sayre cemetery. Lou Ollie Northcutt was born in Warren county, Texas, June 15, 1870, where she married to S. C. Elliott on January 11, 1888, they continuing to reside in that section until 1910, when they came to Oklahoma, homesteading the farm northwest of this city on which they have since resided. During her residence here Mrs. Elliott has become widely acquainted, making warm friends of all who knew her, and was highly respected for her many lovable traits of character. Besides her husband, Mrs. Elliott is survived by nine children: Mrs. Guy Koch, Tuttle; Monroe Elliott, Sentinel; George Elliott, Clinton; Walter N. Elliott, Berlin; John Elliott, residing near Murphy Gin; Sam, Fred, Mack and Miss Anna at home New Liberty Items. Our school was saddened by the sudden death of Mrs. S. C. Elliott, mother of two of our high school students, Anna and Sam Elliott. We were also saddened by the death of the infant of Mr. And Mrs. B. L. Sanderford. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families. School was dismissed Monday for the grieved ones.
