All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ FLOYD, HARRIET (8 Jan 1914, Thursday, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Grimes News: Our holiday rejoicing was turned into sorrow by the death of Grandma Floyd who will be buried at Pioneer cemetery Tuesday. Mrs. Floyd was born November 1st, 1828, being at the time of her death 85 years, one month and 29 days old. She had been a member of the Missionary Baptist church forty-five years. (15 Jan 1914, Thursday, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): DIED. At the home of her son, N. B. Floyd, seven miles north east of Erick, the morning of December 29, 1913. Grandma Floyd as she was known, Harriet Pinsom (sic), was born Nov. 1st 1828 in S. C., was married to Wm. Pinson in 1846 who died in 1850 to this union was born one child now deceased. In 1857 she married Port Floyd and moved to Georgia and from there to Texas where he died and to Oklahoma 6 years ago. She was the mother of six children, only one survives her. She had been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church 45 years. She was burried (sic) at Pioneer Cemetery at 2 o'clock on the 30th. Rev. Miller conducting the services. She leaves many friends to mourn her death.
