GARDINER, WELBY M.
(26 Apr 1928, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Welby M. Gardiner, age 32 years, 9 months and 27 days, died Thursday
afternoon, April 26th, in this city following a brief illness.  Mr.
Gardiner had resided with his family in Sayre for a period of four years
and had lived in Cordell, Hobart and Clinton for a number of years.  He
was an insurance agent here until about a year ago and at the time of his
death was a salesman.
During their residence here Mr. Gardiner had made many friends and was
well and favorably known.  He had a very aggressive spirit and was always
in a jovial mood.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Cuba, two daughters, Lucille of
Oklahoma City and Beatrice of Sayre; his sisters, Mrs. McIntyre and Mrs.
Faulk of Enid, Mrs. Vorhees of Fairview and a host of friends who join
with the family in their hour of grief.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at 3:30 o'clock Friday
afternoon with Rev. T. N. Weeks officiating and interment was made in
Aline, Oklahoma, cemetery.
(Other Notes): Mrs. L. F. Faulk and son of Enid were here during the past
week at the bedside of Mrs. Faulk's brother, the late W. M. Gardiner.
