(The Sayre Sun, Sayre, Beckham, Ok, Thurs Dec 20, 1962)
Lydia Green Rites Set at Carter.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Green, Faxon, Oklahoma, who died Thursday
in a Hobart hospital following a car accident, will be held in the First
Baptist church of Carter, Saturday, at 2:00 pm.
Mrs. Green was born 1907 at Carter.  She was married to Rev. Virgil Green
in 1925.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Survivors are her husband of the home, one daughter, Mrs. Loretta Morgan,
Mooreland; two sons, Marion of the U. S. Marines, Cherry Point, North
Carolina; and Willis of Bartlesville; three brothers, Bill Broddrick,
Sayre; Robert and Arthur of Grass Valley, California; three sisters, Mrs.
Mattie White, Lowell, Arkansas; Mrs. Nellie East, Carter, Mrs. Ruth
Shelton, Carter; eight grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Carter cemetery with Greer Funeral Home, Mangum, in
charge of arrangements.
