HAMMON, MABEL N.
(Sayre newspaper (not identified), Sayre, Beckham, Ok, May 1986):
Mabel N. Hammon, age 97, Lancaster, Ca, formerly of Sayre, passed away
Tuesday, May 6, 1986, in Lancaster, Ca.
Mabel Pitkin was born July 27, 1888, at Springfield, Mo.  On February 26,
1913, she married Claude Linley Hammon in Elk City.
Graveside services were Monday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m. with Joe Peery
officiating, under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre. 
Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery.
She moved with her parents to Elk City.  After marriage, they lived in Elk
City until 1946 when they moved to California.  In 1953 they moved to
Sayre.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband.  Survivors include two
sisters-in-law, Eva Pitkin, California; Bonnie Pitkin, Bakersfield, Ca;
three nephews, Don Pitkin, Bakersfield, Ca; Harvey and Joe Pitkin, both
Lancaster, Ca; one niece Darla Prediger, Lancaster, Ca; two nieces-in-law,
Edith Smith, Sayre; Lois Gentry, Albuquerque, NM.
