All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ HARVEY, FRED (12 Jun 1947, Thursday, Sayre Daily Headlight Journal, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Funeral services for Fred Harvey, 53, Sunray, Texas, and pioneer resident of Sayre, a victim of an accident at the Shamrock Oil and Gas Corporation Tuesday, June 10, and who died Wednesday, June 11 at the Northwest Texas hospital at Amarillo, Texas, will be held at the Spring Creek Baptist church Friday, June 13, at 4:30 p.m. with Rev. Rickles of Sunray officiating. Mr. Harvey was born at Gainesville, Texas, April 8, 1894. He came with his parents to Sayre in 1900 and resided in the community until 1942 when he moved to Sunray, Texas. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marva Harvey of the home address; one son, J. D. of the home address; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Morgan and Mrs. Henrietta Norrell of the home address, Mrs. Claudia Hankins of Cheyenne, Wyoming; five brothers, J. B. of Willow, Oren of California, Dude of Erick, Jeff of Inola, Okla., Carl of Globe, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Pierce of Carnegie and Mrs. Minnie Lauderdale of Wichita Falls, Texas; 10 grandchildren. Services will be held at Sunray Friday morning at 10 a.m. and at Spring Creek in the afternoon.
