(22 May 1930, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Funeral Services Were Held In Home Tuesday. Mrs. Martha C. Holloway, 79, wife of Z. T. Holloway died at the family home 4 miles northwest of Sayre Monday morning May 19, 1930 after an illness of 6 weeks. Mrs. Holloway was born in Covington, Kentucky, February 17, 1851. When she was nine years of age, she moved with her parents to Missouri, where she resided until her marriage to Z. T. Holloway -----(blurred). Following their marriage the couple moved to Oklahoma. They settled on a farm near Sayre and lived there several years. In 1913 the couple moved to Sayre, but remained here only one year. They moved back to the farm, 4 miles northwest of Sayre and lived there until her death. At the time of her death, Mrs. Holloway was a member of the Christian church in Sayre. She joined the church at the age of 19 years. Besides her husband, Z. T. Holloway, the deceased is survived by one stepson, J. M. Holloway, two step daughters, Mrs. Gates and Mrs. Bebee, one sister, Mrs. Parks of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 2 nephews, Lawrence and Fred Mileham and W. D. Parks, four nieces, Maud and Hazel Mileham, Mrs. H. E. Nash, and Mrs. Anna Jabonsky, 7 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. A. J. Bradshaw officiating. Music for the funeral was furnished by the choir of the Christian church. Interment was made in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery.
