(15 Sep 1927, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Harry B. Holman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Holman, was born December 15, 1903, at Weatherford, Oklahoma, and departed this life September 11, 1927, at the age of 23 years, 9 months and 16 days. When a mere boy Harry moved with his parents to their present home near Prentiss, where he spent the rest of his life. Harry Holman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Holman, residing near Prentiss, and well known in this city, died on Sunday evening last after a three weeks illness of typhoid fever. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Doxey-Sayre cemetery, with Rev. J. L. Davis officiating. Interment was at the same place. Harry had been working with the telephone crew which left this city a few weeks since, and with four other members of the crew, was stricken with typhoid fever while working near Bridgeport, Oklahoma. He was brought to the home of his parents a little over two weeks ago, and had been in a very serious condition since. He leaves to mourn his loss his father and mother, one sister, Louise, at home, and a dear old grandmother, Mrs. Robinson, of Los Angeles, California, and other relatives and friends. Harry was loved by all who knew him. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. L. Davis at the Doxey-Sayre cemetery at 3 o'clock, Monday, September 12, and attended by a large number of sorrowing friends and neighbors. All was done that doctors, nurse and loving hands could do, but God's will be done.
