(18 Jun 1914, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): PARALYTIC STROKE KILLS MR. THOMAS A. HUDSON Tuesday night at 12:00 o'clock death came to Thomas A. Hudson, who was striken (sic) with paralysis on Monday of last week at his home 12 miles south and 3 miles east of this city. Mr. Youngblood who lives in that neighborhood called at his neighbor's place on Tuesday evening of last week and found Hudson on the bed unconscious. Dr. H. H. Speed was summoned immediately and on his arrival found that the man had been in an unconscious condition for nearly two days. Dr. Speed brought the patient to Sayre last Friday and took him to the Hiatt hotel where he received medical attention until his death. Mr. Hudson was a man of about 70 (?) years of age and was living alone on his farm. He moved to Greer county about five years ago. John Hudson, a son of the deceased from Decatur, Texas, was called to his father's bedside and stayed until after the funeral which took place yesterday afternoon. Burial in the Sayre cemetery, Rev.
