JEFFERS, CORA LULA
(5 Jul 1923, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Jas. Jeffries (sic), aged 45, residing eleven miles southeast of this
city, or three miles west and one north of Carter, died suddenly yesterday
morning, from heart trouble.
(13 Jul 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. C. L. Jefferies, living about two miles west of Carter, died on the
morning of July 4th, following a short illness, having taken seriously ill
with heart trouble only a few days before her death.  She was buried in
the Carter cemetery on the evening following her death, by the side of a
son who died only a few months ago.
