KING, JAMES LEONARD
(29 Nov 1923, Thursday, Sayre Star, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Little Leonard King died November 24, 1923, age 8 years, from diptheria. 
He was the son of William and Mable King.  He had been ill for some time
but God saw fit to relieve his sufferings and take him home.  He was a
bright, sunny natured little boy, and loved by all who knew him.  Grieve
not, dear parents, little Leonard is better off than we, for he is with
Jesus, well and happy.  We can't have him back, but we can go to him. 
Jesus said "suffer little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not,
for us such is the Kingdom of Heaven."  Just look to God, He'll help you
bear your sorrow.  Leonard leaves a father and mother and two sisters and
one brother to mourn his loss.  The funeral services were held at Dempsey,
Sunday afternoon Rev. Spay of Elk City conducting the service.  A large
crowd of relatives and friends accompanied the remains to its last resting
place.  A Friend.
