KNIGHT, WILLIAM A.
(28 Nov 1907, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Died.  W. A. Knight died in Texarkana, Texas, Sunday morning, November 24,
1907, age about 39 years.  His remains were forwarded here and interred in
the Sayre cemetery Tuesday.
Mr. Knight had been in poor health the past six months, the result of an
accident which created an abcess in the left lung.  The abcess was
discovered by a Texarkana, Texas, physician who made an incision and drew
out about a gallon and a half of pus.  The shock was too great for the
weakened condition of the patient to withstand and death resulted.
Jack Knight, as he was familiarly known by his neighbors, was one of the
early settlers of this county and had a valuable homestead near Sayre.  He
leaves a wife and one little daughter to mourn his untimely demise.  The
Headlight joins with many friends and neighbors in extending sympathy to
the bereaved wife and little daughter.
