LANDTROOP, RUSSELL
(5 Jul 1923, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Death of Little Russell Landtroop.
The death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Landtroop, who
lives seven miles northwest of Sayre, and claimed for its victim their
only child.  Little Russell, who had only spent one year and eleven months
and six days in this world.
Little Russell had only been sick for just a few hours.  He departed this
life at 2 o'clock a.m., Monday, June 25.
To the parents and relatives we would say, weep not, for Russell, he is
far better off.  It is hard to give up our dear ones just budding into
life; but to give them up while children, we have the great consolation of
knowing they have gone to Heaven, and when  life shall be no more to us,
when this cold clay shall be laid to rest, we know Russell will be
standing at the river to escort us to the throne, there to take our place
among the blessed redeemed.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. N. Wilson at the Lone Oak
church, Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, after which the little body was
tenderly put away in the Lone Oak cemetery.
The father and mother have a host of friends who sympathize with them in
their sorrow.  May the richest blessings of God rest upon them.  A Friend.
