(16 Nov 1930, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Old Settler Died At Family Home East of Sayre. James N. Lennox, 75, died at the family home 4 miles east of Sayre Thursday, November 6, 1930, after a brief illness. He was one of Sayre's early settlers. He homesteaded on the land where Sayre is now located. Funeral services were held Friday November 7, at 2:30 o'clock at the Sayre-Doxey cemetery with Rev. A. J. Bradshaw officiating. Interment was made in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery. Lennox was born April 20, 1855. He has spent most of his life in this part of the country. He came during the early part of his life and has remained here since. He is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Littrell-Moore.
