LISH, JASPER
(25 Nov 1909, Thursday, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lish, of near Berlin, brought their 11 year old son to
this city Monday for treatment for appendicitis.  The boy was weak from
long suffering and the one chance to save his life, an operation, was not
at all flattering.
The operation was performed Monday evening and he died Tuesday evening
about 4 o'clock.  Interment was made yesterday in the Berlin cemetery.

Died:  Jasper Lish
God has again saw fit to take from this earth one of its brightest jewels
to live with Jesus and the angels, but God knoweth all things and does
everything for the best.  Jasper was a sweet child, loved by all who knew
him.  He was only 11 years old.  Oh, how he loved to talk about Jesus and
his goodness.  He bore his illness with patience and never murmured, and
he is gone but not forgotten.  Weep not, dear father and mother, he has
gone where there will be no more sickness, sorrows, or sad goodby's.  He
has paid the debt we must all pay sooner or later.
