MARTIN, MARTHA JANE
(16 Sep 1915, Thursday, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF MRS. B. F. MARTIN.
Martha Jane Martin, wife of Benjamine F. Martin, died Tuesday, September
7th, at the home of her son, J. S. Martin, five miles north of Sayre, at
the age of 88 years, 8 months and 15 days.  The deceased was born in
Lincoln county, Tennessee, December 20, 1826.  On January 2, 1854, she was
married to Benjamine F. Martin, and to this union three children were
born.  She was converted to Christ at an early age and united with the
Cumberland Presbyterian church in which she was a faithful member until
death.  The funeral services were held at the home of her son five miles
north of Sayre on Wednesday, September 8th, and remains were laid at rest
at the Sayre-Doxey cemetery.  The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. W.
L. Anderson, pastor of the Methodist church.
