All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* MARX, JOSEPH (26 Oct 1905, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Joe Marks died at his home in Sayre Sunday night of cancer of the liver. He was born and raised at Macomb, Ill., and settled near Yukon at the opening of Oklahoma. He leaves a wife and one daughter and a host of friends. He was one of the stockholders in the Sayre flouring mill. His remains were shipped to Yukon for interment. The Woodmen of the World, of which order he was a member, escorted the corpse to the train Monday. (27 Oct 1905, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Joseph Marx died Sunday at his home in this place after an illness of over a year. The remains were taken to Yukon for burial, the Woodmen lodge, of which he was a member, attending. Mr. Marx was one of the stockholders in the Sayre Mill & Elevator Co., and had resided in Sayre nearly two years.
