(30 Sep 1915, Thursday, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF ROBERT MOODY
News of the sudden death of Robert Moody, father of Mrs. E. K. Thurmond,
was received in this city last Monday, and the message conveying the sad
news was forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Thurmond who were in Oklahoma City
attending the state fair.  Mr. Moody had recently come from his home in
California to Canadian, Texas, where he has property interests, and was
taken suddenly ill and died Monday.  The remains will be taken to Lenexa,
Kansas, Mr. Moody's old home, and the funeral will be held today.
Mr. and Mrs. Thurmond left Oklahoma City for Canadian, Texas, immediately
upon receipt of the sad news, and accompanied the remains to Kansas.  They
will probably not return home before the middle of next week.
