(21 Dec 1930, Sunday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Berlin Man Dies After Long Illness One more of the old settlers in this section to pass away was Albert I. Moorhead (sic), age 64, of the Berlin community who died at his home there at 9 o'clock, Wednesday morning. Moorland (sic) had been ill for several months. He had resided there for the past 25 years. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church and well thought of by those who knew him. He is survived by his wife and 10 children. Funeral services were held in the family home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with Rev. John T. Daniels of the Sayre Baptist church, officiating. Interment was made in the Berlin (Roger Mills County) cemetery with Littrell-Moore of Sayre in charge. (24 Dec 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mr. Moorehead, an aged settler of Berlin, died at his home in Berlin, Wednesday night at 9 o'clock. Mr. Moorehead has been poorly for several years, but his death was not expected so soon. Mrs. Moorehead's sister, Mrs. Hollie Stanley died in an Elk City Hospital the following morning. Both parties were laid to rest in the Berlin cemetery (Roger Mills County) Friday afternoon. Rev. Jim Basker and Rev. Klopfenstein, officiated. (1 Jan 1931, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Double funeral services were held at the Moorehead home in Berlin community for Albert I. Moorehead a pioneer resident of this section and for his sister in law, Mrs. Callie Standley also of that community, at 2:30 P.M. Friday, December 19. Mr. Moorehead had died at the family home on Thursday while Mrs. Standley died in the Tisdal hospital at 9 A.M. on the same day. Both were laid to rest in the Berlin cemetery. Mrs. Standley was the sister of Mrs. Moorehead, wife of the deceased man. For the past 25 years the Moorehead family have made their home in the Berlin community. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and always true to the order. He was married to Anna L. Cochran at Great Bend, Kansas, on May 5, 1894, where they lived for 11 years before moving with their family to Berlin. Mr. Moorehead's health began to fail him three years ago and he gradually became weaker until the day of his death. Those who survive him are his wife and four children, Mrs. Annie Moorehead, Edith, Johnie, Martha and Paul Moorehead. Others who survive him are: Mrs. B. F. Courtney, Doxey; Mrs. H. A. Gregory, Sayre; Mrs. C. L. Mullins, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. A. I. Addas, Berlin; Mrs. R. C. Chittum, Berlin; Mrs. Ella Miller, Bloom, Kansas and A. W.
