All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ PRICE, WILLIAM P. (22 May 1913, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): W. P. Price, familiarly known to almost every resident of Beckham county as "Uncle Billy," died last Saturday, May 27th, at Nevada, Mo., where Mr. Price had been for several weeks taking magnetic treatment at a sanitarium. A telegram received by his brother, T. J. Price, Saturday, conveyed the sad news to his friends and relatives here. The remains accompanied by Mrs. Price, who was with him at Nevada, arrived at Sayre Monday and were conveyed to the Delhi cemetery where the funeral services, conducted by Rev. E. A. Townsend of the Methodist church, were held and where the remains were laid at rest. Mr. Price was born April 12th, 1850. He was graduated from the Mississippi State University at the age of 22, and removed to Texas during the early days, locating in Greer county which was afterwards made part of Oklahoma. He is survived by a wife and nine children, Walter, William J., Herbert E., all of Sayre, and Mrs. Pearl Robinson of Loco, Okla.; A. B.
