SANDERS, MARTHA JANE
(25 Feb 1926, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. G. W. Sanders, a pioneer resident of the Prentiss section, died on
Saturday last.  Funeral services were held at the Buffalo church on Sunday
and very largely attended.  Interment was in the Buffalo cemetery.

We, the undersigned, wish to express through the columns of the Headlight
our sincere thanks and appreciation to our many friends and neighbors who
so kindly assisted us during the illness and death of our dear wife and
mother.

MRS. G. W. SANDERS, DIED.
Grandma Sanders, wife of G. W. Sanders, of Sanders Store of Buffalo, died
Saturday evening, and was buried in the Sanders Cemetery (Buffalo) Sunday
evening.  The largest crowd we have ever seen at a funeral, attended this
one.  Grandma Sanders has been a resident of the Buffalo community for
years and was known for miles, and loved by all who knew her.  She has
been almost helpless for fifteen years and almost totally blind for some
five or six years.  We know it is sweet relief to her to depart from this
sin cursed world, for we truly believe she has gone to a better world than
this.  We sincerely wish to extend our sympathy to her loved ones.  She
was the mother of Mrs. Esther Mong and many people of Erick know her. 
Reverend S. N. Wilson and Rev. Nunery officiated at grandma's funeral.
