SPELL DIED MONDAY Was Well-Known Resident of Section Northwest of City. Mrs. J. P. Spell, a well-known resident of the section northwest of this city, died suddenly on Monday last, after a few days illness of flu, which developed pneumonia. The funeral services were held from the home on Tuesday afternoon, with interment at Berlin cemetery (Roger Mills County). Mrs. Spell was for many years a resident of the section just north of the Murphy gin, but a few years since the home farm was sold, and with her husband she moved to Geary. While residing there Mr. Spell passed away, after which Mrs. Spell returned to the section northwest of this city, on a farm, about two miles east of her old home. She was a lady widely known in this city and over the section where she lived, and very well respected for many sterling --?-- of character. She leaves children and other relatives, to whom goes the sympathy of the entire section in their bereavement. Her husband was buried in Clinton about a year ago. She leaves children, other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
