STEELE, IDA
(25 Oct 1906, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Steele passed away last Tuesday after two weeks of sickness.

In Memoriam.
Mrs. Ida Steele was born in Ida county, Iowa, Jan. 9th, 1870.  Was wedded
to Mr. John W. Steele in her seventeenth year.  Sister Steele was blessed
with six children, all survive her but one, the oldest.  Sister Steele
professed a hope in Christ and joined the Christian Church in 1892.  After
moving to Oklahoma she then joined the Missionary Baptist of which she was
a member when called to the Great Beyond.
In her last illness she was attended by her husband, and three daughters,
and two small children.  She was patient perfectly resigned to the Masters
will, she said some sweet words, breathed a prayer, and went to sleep in
the arms of her Savior, Tuesday, Oct. 16th, at 3:30 p.m.  Funeral services
conducted by her pastor at residence.  Rev. J. K. White, Pastor.
