STEPHENS, NANCY LULA
(23 Oct 1930, Thursday,  Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Funeral Thursday For Mrs. Stephens
Funeral services for Mrs. Daniel H. Stephens, 64, were held at the First
Baptist Church in Sayre, Thursday afternoon October 16 with Rev. Vinson
officiating.
Mrs. Stephens, who before her marriage was Nancy Lula Whitefield, was born
July 7, 1866 in Clay county, Alabama.  On December 31, 1884, she was
married to Daniel Stephens.  She became a member of the Baptist church at
the age of 16.  She died October 14 at the home of her son George Stephens
on north Fourth street in Sayre.
The following children survive the deceased:  Artemes Stephens of Martin,
Texas; George Stephens of Sayre; Elisha Stephens of Silverton, Texas;
Ophes Stephens of Shamrock, Texas; Arcus Stephens of Amherst, Texas; Mrs.
Essie Warren of Mangum; Mrs. Clara Lush of Brinkman; Mrs. Grace Francis of
Sayre; and Mrs. Eva Wright of Gates, Texas.
Interment was made in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery under the direction of the
Killough-Hullum Funeral Home.
