STEPHENSON, JAMES F.
(25 Apr 1907, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
J. F. Stephenson, "Uncle Buck" as he was familiarly known, died Monday at
his home near Berlin, and was buried Tuesday  (Berlin Cemetery, Roger
Mills County).  Dropsy was the cause of his death, and he had been ill for
nearly a year.
Mr. Stephenson was a big, kindhearted, lovable man, respected by his
neighbors and loved by all who knew him.  We learned with sadness of his
death, for we counted him as a friend.
He was a consistent Christian, and died prepared for a better world.
V. L. Watson and Miss M. A. Boaz, nephew and niece of Mr. Stephenson, came
from their home in Fisher county, Texas, but arrived too late for the
funeral.
The sympathy of all is with the bereaved family.
