Tindell Succumbs, Rites Held. Funeral services for S. F. (Steve) Tindell, 1110 North Broadway, retired pioneer farmer, who died Saturday at the Cheyenne hospital following a two months illness, will be held Monday at 2:30 pm at the Sayre Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Hamar and Rev. Raymond Allen officiating. Born October 6, 1880, at Jack County, Texas, he came with his family to Beckham county in 1900 and filed seven miles east of Sayre. He has resided in and near Sayre since then. He was married to Ellie Rasnick at Doxey in 1906, who died in 1926. He was married to Ethel Wilson in 1927. Two brothers preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Ethel, of the home, eight daughters, Mrs. Lola Smart, Sayre; Mrs. Wanda Mayo, San Angelo, Texas; Mrs. Louise Allen, Durham; Mrs. Altie Hohenshelt, Ardmore; Mrs. Ozelle Reed, Enid; Mrs. Mary Bridges and Mrs. Blanche Dishman, Beaumont, California; Mrs. Annie Lue Aaron, Oklahoma City; three sons, Lee of Carter; Virgil Wilson of Springdale, Ark.; Joe Wilson of New Iberia, Louisiana; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Laura Renfro, Elk City, one brother, Gene of Sayre. Pall bearers were Byron Edwards, Raymond Green, Tommie Ford, John Barnett, Enoch Barker, Guy Morgan. Committal was in the Carter cemetery with the Moore funeral home in charge of arrangements.
